PayPal walked back their new policy
Recently, PayPal walked back what they claim was an accidental policy addition, to fine their customers $2,500 for “the sending, posting, or publication of any message, content, or materials” that “promote misinformation” or “present a risk to user safety or wellbeing.” Wow, those are pretty broad and controlling statements, especially for an organization that, rather than define “misinformation” or “risk” (That the vaccines are safe and effective? That genital mutilation of minors reduces suicide risk? That only Whites can be racist?), they scrapped the language entirely, claiming that they made an error.
They didn't expect you to notice
Yeah, PayPal certainly made an error. Their error was in thinking that their customers–living under a regime that has the entire world at the brink of nuclear war, that has implemented record inflation-inducing policies, that has destroyed what was left of our public education system and trust in public institutions–are still naive enough to deny the truth when they see it in black and white. No, those days are gone.
